Origin

Little is known about Anselmo. A court physician of great skill, he raised his son to be a physician also. Following his death in a carriage accident, he visited his son as a ghost to support him during an important treatment. As a phantom he continued to watch over the physicians in his family.

Creation

Anselmo was created by an unknown writer and Will Ely. He made his first appearance in House of Secrets #47.

Major Story Arcs

Return of the Phantom Physician

Anselmo visits one of his descendants, a young physician named Miles, three times during his early career. During each visit he supports the young man in saving lives. Following his third visit to Miles, he makes a visit to Miles' son to help him save a life.

Powers and Abilities

Anselmo is a ghost who has access to fantastical medical knowledge and supplies. He is able to manifest himself to family members only. He is extremely intelligent and gifted in medicine.
