Histoy
Very little is known about John Black. One or both of his parents was a survivor of Science City Zero, the American concentration camp of the 1950s that was set up for human experimentation.
As a result, Black was born with metahuman abilities - powerful ones. He was able to move between alternate versions of Earth, and take those in his immediate vicinity with him. This caused him some amount of discomfort, and occasionally killed people. In his panic, he ran to Gotham City.
Black was apprehended and subdued by the Planetary with the help of several alternate versions of the Batman.
