Origin

Little is known about Daisy's early life. According to a timeline made Don Rosa Daisy was born in 1920. She has at least two siblings, a brother and a sister, and they were presumably brought up in Duckburg. At some point she moved in next door to Donald Duck, who became her love interest.

Creation

Daisy was created by Walt Disney Productions for the animated short Mr Duck Steps Out, which was written by Carl Banks. She made her first appearance in comics in Walt Disney's Comics & Stories #1.

Character Evolution

There are conflicting reports as to whether Daisy is the same as the earlier-introduced Donna Duck, who made her debut appearance some three years prior to Daisy's. The official explanation, given in 1951, is that they are different ducks, and both in competition for Donald's affections. Her relationship with Donald has also been the subject of some debate, with their relationship being given as cousins, married, or unrelated at various points in her history. Current speculation is that they are second cousins or they share a common surname but are otherwise unrelated.

Major Story Arcs

Donald

Daisy spends much of her time fighting for the affections of Donald, or having her affections fought for. The pair are typically shown to be quite affectionate to one another, though Daisy's temper is often aroused by Donald's bumbling.

Paperinika

Daisy takes up the superheroine identity of Paperinika/Super Daisy, becoming the distaff counterpart of Paperinik/Super Donald. In her appearances, she is always victorious, while Donald is cast in his traditional role of loser.

Powers and Abilities

Daisy has no known special powers or abilities. She is an anthropomorphic duck, so presumably she possesses some of the abilities inherent to her species
