The Sandman is a extraterrestrial who's body is made out of sand. He crashed and was stranded on Earth where natives of Mexico entombed him in a cave. He was later freed by a family who was visiting Mexico in an attempt to toughen up their son. In the end water was the Sandman's downfall as the son of the family through a bucket of water on him hardening his body, he then shoveled him into a chest locking him in.
