Creation

Undertow was created by Louise Simonson and Rob Liefeld in 1989 and first appeared in New Mutants Annual # 5.  

Powers & Abilities

Undertow is an Atlantean with the ability to create powerful funnels or whirlpools underwater. Undertow can transport himself and small parties on large waves he can control. Undertow can live indefinitely under or out of water and his physiology enables him to withstand the great water pressure changes that occur beneath the sea.
