Annoval 14 is a remote planet housing one of the most inescapable prisons in the galaxy, known as the Anvil. It houses some of the most dangerous and barbaric criminals in the galaxy. The planet is seemingly lifeless and covered in water and bad weather.

The prison is run by a chancellor and has many loyal guards, although some of these guards may be corrupt. Prisoners are treated poorly and are known only by number.

A prison break was once attempted by Nebula and Geatar to break out their crew. It would have been successful if not for the Silver Surfer and the Jack of Hearts. No prisoners escaped, but Nebula and Geatar managed to steal a ship and leave.
