Luis Royo was born in Olalla, Spain in 1954. He started studying in 1971 at the Industrial Mastery School and the Applied Arts School in Zaragoza.

In the following years he started to participate in artistic competitions and produced several bigger pictures that were exposed in galleries in Zaragoza.

In 1978 he started drawing comics. But he became famous when he started to make big artbooks. These books feature fantasy drawings about women. What is typical of his drawings, is that they are very close connected to the End Time.
