Victor Gischler is an American comic book writer, whose work has been published by Marvel, Dark Horse, Dynamite, and Titan.

Gischler holds a Ph D from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has also taught at the university level, notably at Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma. His fiction has won prestigious literary awards; Gun Monkeys, which earned him an Edgar Award nomination, has been optioned for adaptation into a film. His novels have been translated into several languages, as well. Regardless of whether he is writing crime fiction or in another genre, his work has been characterized as humorous.

Other fiction titles include Suicide Squeeze. The Pistol Poets, Shotgun Opera, Vampire A Go-Go, Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse, and The Deputy. He also keeps an online blog, available to your right.

In spite of writing various Deadpool titles, Gischler is married. His wife's name is Jackie.
