Bred by Talia al Ghul and usurped by her father Ra's al Ghul, the Sons of Batman are imperfect clones of Damian Wayne born from sperm whales. The most notable of the Sons is The Heretic, but the rest of the clones were introduced to Batman and Aquaman as a trap from Ra's Al Ghul. Since they were bred from Sperm Whales, the sons are technically ocean creatures and thus Aquaman is able to communicate and discover they are actually innocent creatures. They were taken to Atlantis for shelter, but Damian later recovered the clones he considers brothers and took them to their current home on Al Ghul Island.
