The epic DC 1986-87 sequel to the landmark Crisis on Infinite Earths!

Legends is plotted by John Ostrander, author of Captain Atom, Firestorm, Hawkman, Martian Manhunter, Secret Six, Suicide Squad and The Spectre for DC; scripted by Swamp Thing co-creator Len Wein, pencilled by legendary X-Men artist John Byrne, inked by Karl Kesel, lettered by Steve Haynie, colored by Tom Ziuko and edited by Mike Gold.

Legends re-establishes heroism in the new singular DC Universe. It also reintroduces Wonder Woman, relaunched in her own re-numbered title by George Perez; Firestorm is revamped, and the stage is set for the "International" era of the Justice League is launched.

With the Charlton characters brought into the DC Universe, Blue Beetle, Captain Atom and Sarge Steel play important roles, or are spun out of the story. Wally West is established as the new Flash; and, Cosmic Boy comes back from the 30th Century for adventures for a time.

Legends works as a morality play too, featuring a debate between Darkseid and the Phantom Stranger.
