Although this was the third series to bear the Swamp Thing title, Swamp Thing was a minor character in the series and instead it focused upon the growth of his legacy through his daughter, Tefé Holland. Written early on in the career of the now widely-acclaimed writer Brian K. Vaughan, the series lasted for twenty issues before being cancelled (replaced on the Vertigo shelves by BKV's bookY: The Last Man).
It was drawn by Roger Petersen for the first eleven issues and Giuseppe Camuncoli for the last nine with covers from a variety of artists including Phil Hale, Rick Berry, Simon Bisley, Glenn Fabry, David Mack, Greg Staples and John Totleben.
