A series focusing on the next generation of young heroes. The entire run was written by Peter David and mostly drawn by Todd Nauck. The series focused on a core team of Robin (Tim Drake), Superboy (Kon-El), Impulse, and Wonder Girl (Cassandra Sandsmark) with the Red Tornado as their mentor. Other established heroes such as Arrowette, The Ray, and Lobo (who was de-aged at the time) would drift in and out of the team, while Empress and Secret were created for the series.

Due to three of the team's core members having their own solo titles running simultaneously with this series, events in Young Justice are often affected by/reflected in Impulse vol. 1, Superboy vol. 4, and Robin vol. 4.
