History
Jo Chen is a Taiwanese American comic book artist and illustrator. She was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and emigrated to the United States in 1994. She has been working professionally in the comic book industry since she was fourteen years old. In 2000, Chen discovered sudden success with her artwork for the Racer X mini-series, part of the Speed Racer series, published by Wildstorm / DC Comics. Over the years, she has established herself in the comic book industry by working on interiors and exteriors for titles including; Robotech, Battle Of The Planets, Darkminds: Macropolis, Taskmaster, The Demon, Thor , Runaways, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and Batman & Robin. Chen is most well known by American readers for her incredibly detailed painted comic book covers for both the Runaways, and Dark Horse Comics' Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

Chen has drawn covers for both Playstation Magazine, and Tomb Raider Magazine. Chen has also produced packaging artwork for FABLE, FABLE: TLC, and FABLES.

Chen resides with her family, including sister / partner Christina Chen, outside of Washington D.C.
